What Sugar Island Guests Should Know
Welcome to our resort! We are excited to host you here at Sugar Island, our serene and relaxing home. Here is everything you need to know before you arrive:
We do not have cable or internet at the resort. We want to emphasize peace and quiet and to disconnect from the noise of daily life. That being said, be sure to set your alarm to enjoy awe-inspiring sunrises, vast views of Canada, and several rock islands across the river.
We have a large dock out front that holds 11 boats. Small metal boats are available for free use at your own risk and you must bring your own motor. There is also a gas pump by the water that we sell gas to boats and traffic from other islands.
Be sure to bring your bathing suit and towel! We have a lovely sandy swimming beach right out front, perfect for starting your morning or cooling off after a long day of activities. We also offer a community fire pit and wood available for use. Try your hand at cooking dinner or s’mores over the fire, a perfect way to end your day of island exploration.
Check-in starts at 4:00 pm on Saturdays and check-out is at 10:00 am on Saturdays, no sooner! We need time to make sure each cabin is sparkling clean and ready for your stay. You may park next to your cabin or in the RV parking lot next door. If you’ll be camping in your RV, you must choose your own site–first come first served–anytime after 10:00 am on Saturdays.
Contact us with any questions; we can’t wait to host your next vacation!
